Background:

The Barclays Social Enterprise Coaching Program involved Senior Directors and members of the management from Barclays serving as skills-based volunteers to 8 social enterprises.

Each project team (consisting of the corporate volunteers and founders/ members of each social enterprise) would work towards preparing the social entrepreneurs to become better prepared to pitch to potential investors, not only in terms of presentation but also in ensuring the soundness of the enterprise and its products/services. The sessions were held over a period of 5 months where each team would meet for at least 4 formal coaching sessions.

Outcome:

We were responsible for designing and implementing the project, including the sourcing for suitable SEs, matching of project teams, facilitating coaching sessions and reporting the progress and impact of the programme. SEs that benefited from the programme include Bettr Barista, (these)abilities, Billion Bricks, TWare, Adrenaline, ProAge, etc
